 Assignment 7: A Line as a Relation to my Body For this assignment, we were supposed to make an art piece that could relate to our bodies in some way. The part of my body I decided to use as a subject for the art was my brain. I tried to capture the disorganized, chaotic nature of a mess of thoughts with a scribbling style of drawing and a mixture of crayon, highlighter, ballpoint pen, and mechanical pencil.  I wanted the art to have symbolism of imagination, grandeur, fear, and chaos. I wanted the viewer to have lots to see and to want to look at it. I also wanted to add some symbolism of how, even though someone may be sitting still and staying quiet, their minds will remain active. I added my own oc's in the piece. Assignment 5: Scribble Line

 Assignment 5: Scribble Line Sketchbook Drawings: The first part of the assignment was to use scribbles to make drawings. I didn't understand the assignment well enough though, and ended up making contour drawings. I wish I did, cause then I could have drawn something cool, like a monster or an OC. The materials I used were pencil crayons (x2 colors), charcoal, ink pen, permanent marker, alcohol-based marker. This next aspect of the assignment was to study value and shading using scribbles. I can safely say, after learning more about what was expected from the assignment, I'm happier with the results here. Materials used were ballpoint pen, highlighter, pencil (B3), pencil (H3), and crayon. The Big Scribble This was the large project. I got the idea for this while experimenting with tape and scribbles.
